Trainer Certification

Training The Trainer: PST Expert

Our Training The Trainer plan involves two to three steps: technical assistance (TA) to organizations to identify candidate trainers (this is optional), a three day short course in training clinicians in PST, and guided experience in training clinicians with an expert trainer.

Certification: All candidate trainers will be given a certificate documenting successful completion of training. We do not guarantee that everyone participating in this training will be certified as a trainer. However, the PST network will be in close contact with the contracting agency to provide feedback on candidate progress and to alert the agency to any concerns we have about candidate ability to perform as a PST trainer.

Materials: All certified trainers are given copies of the training and treatment manuals, case-rating materials, power points used during workshops and other evaluation materials. The materials are available as on-line sources, so there is no charge for reproduction. Once certified, trainers will have open access to the Trainers tab of our website, and will be able to receive low-cost CME/CEU credit for any updates we provide about PST and training models.
