Research Studies Using PST

Research Projects at the UCSF Over 60 Program

Our primary mission is to conduct research and educational activities on a broad range of aging mental health service issues. Several of our projects have investigated behavioral interventions to treat depression in older adults with a focus on low income communities. One of our main goals is to increase older adults’ access to effective mental health treatments by making these treatments suitable in primary care medicine, home-based programs, and on computer, tablet, and web-based platforms.

We are currently enrolling participants for one research study:

  • GOLD: The GOLD (Games to Overcome Late-Life Depression) Project is currently recruiting depressed, older adults to participate in a study comparing Problem Solving Treatment and an innovative, mobile intervention for depression.
